These terms apply when you use Lessonwise at getlessonwise.com. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy.
Who we are
Lessonwise is operated by Abdelkrim Amrani, Tangier, Morocco. In these terms, “we” and “us” mean the operator of Lessonwise. Contact: support@getlessonwise.com.
The service
Lessonwise is a web application that helps English teachers plan lessons. You describe what you want to teach, approve the objectives, and Lessonwise prepares a teacher lesson plan and a student lesson. You can then create worksheets, quizzes, presentations and homework, improve or review a lesson, teach from it in Teaching mode, and export it as Word, PowerPoint, PDF or a ZIP lesson pack.
Content is created automatically with the help of third-party service providers (see the Privacy Policy). Lessonwise is a tool for teachers: students do not have accounts and do not use the service.
Your account
- You must be an adult (at least 18, or the age of majority where you live) to create an account.
- Sign up with your name, a valid email address and a password, and keep your details accurate.
- Keep your password safe. You are responsible for what happens in your account. If you think someone else has access, reset your password and tell us.
- An account is for one person. Do not share your login with others.
Credits and payments
Some features use lesson credits. Prices are shown in US dollars in the Pricing section of our home page and on the Billing page. Credits are sold as one-time packs; there is no subscription and nothing renews automatically. Payments are processed by PayPal (PayPal balance or debit/credit card), and PayPal’s terms also apply to your payment.
- Creating a lesson costs 1 credit in Fast mode and 2 credits in High Quality mode. If High Quality is not available when you create the lesson, it is made in Fast mode and only 1 credit is used.
- A lesson critique, differentiating a lesson (Support, Standard and Challenge versions) and a “Check my plan” review of a plan you upload each cost 1 credit.
- Editing, printing and exporting, the lesson pack materials (worksheet, quiz, presentation), automatic improvements, smart helpers, the activity generator, picture search and version history use no credits. They are subject to fair-use limits that protect the service; if you reach one, wait a little and try again.
- If a paid action fails before a result is saved, its credits are returned to your balance automatically.
- New accounts receive 2 free credits. We may also offer promo codes; each code can be used once per account.
- Credits do not expire. They have no cash value, cannot be transferred to another account and are not exchangeable for money, except through a refund under our Refund Policy.
- Unused purchased credits can be refunded within 14 days of purchase, as explained in the Refund Policy.
We may change prices and packs for future purchases. Credits you already have are not affected.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the service for anything unlawful, harmful, hateful or misleading;
- enter personal data about your students or other people into lesson requests, lessons, uploaded plans or support messages;
- upload material you do not have the right to use;
- resell or give others access to your account or to the service itself;
- scrape, overload or disrupt the service, or access it with automated tools other than a normal web browser;
- try to get around credits, fair-use limits or security measures, or access other users’ data.
Automatically created content
Lessons and materials are created automatically and can contain mistakes, inaccuracies or content that does not suit your class. You are responsible for reviewing and editing everything before you use it with students. Quality scores and reviews are guidance, not a guarantee. We do not guarantee any exam result or learning outcome.
Your content
You keep ownership of what you put into Lessonwise and of the lessons and materials created for you. You may use, edit, print and share them with your students and colleagues. You give us a limited permission to store, process and display your content only as needed to run the service for you (for example to create, edit and export your lessons).
Sample lessons and templates provided by Lessonwise may be used and adapted for your own teaching. Photos found through the picture search are openly licensed by their authors; keep the credit line shown with each photo when you share your materials.
If you leave a review of Lessonwise and allow us to publish it, you give us a free, non-exclusive permission to show its rating and text, with the display name and “about you” line you chose, on our website and in the information that search engines read from it, until you delete the review or withdraw your consent. We do not change your words, but we may decide not to publish a review, or to stop showing it, at our discretion.
Availability and changes
We work to keep Lessonwise available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may improve, change or remove features. If a change significantly affects how you use the service, we will tell you in the app or by email. Please keep your own copies of important lessons (for example by exporting them).
Ending your account
You can stop using the service at any time and ask us to delete your account by emailing support@getlessonwise.com. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or misuses the service. If we close your account for a serious breach, unused credits may be lost; otherwise you can ask for a refund of unused purchased credits under the Refund Policy.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is”, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, data or opportunities, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Morocco, and the courts of Tangier have jurisdiction over disputes. This does not take away any mandatory consumer protection rights you have under the law of the country where you live. If you have a problem, please contact us first; most issues can be solved quickly by email.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is significant, we will also tell you in the app or by email. If you keep using the service after a change, the new terms apply.
